A Canadian logistics company needed a flexible security solution for its truck yard in Arizona. Instead of installing permanent CCTV infrastructure, the customer wanted a system that could provide wide-area monitoring, license plate recognition and AI intrusion detection while remaining easy to relocate.
BIGLUX provided a HiSOLO mobile solar surveillance trailer as a complete plug-and-play CCTV solution.
Application: Truck Yard Security
Location: Arizona, USA
Solution: BIGLUX HiSOLO
Camera System: 4 IP Cameras
Surveillance Load: Approx. 90W
Key Functions: License Plate Recognition, PTZ Monitoring & AI Intrusion Detection
The customer needed to monitor a large truck yard with two primary objectives:
Capture vehicle license plates at a key access point
Detect unauthorized people entering restricted areas
Because the layout and surveillance priorities of a logistics yard can change, the customer preferred a mobile solution instead of permanent camera poles and underground cabling.
The customer also had limited CCTV experience, making simple installation and operation particularly important.
BIGLUX configured a HiSOLO solar surveillance trailer with four IP cameras:
1 × LPR Bullet Camera
Dedicated to vehicle and license plate monitoring at the access area.
1 × PTZ Camera
Provides flexible wide-area surveillance across the truck yard.
2 × AI Bullet Cameras
Monitor key areas and detect people entering predefined zones.
The complete CCTV system has an operating load of approximately 90W.
HiSOLO integrates solar generation, battery storage, an elevated mast and surveillance equipment into one mobile platform, allowing the system to operate without permanent power infrastructure.
The trailer can be repositioned when parking areas, vehicle routes or surveillance priorities change.
Unlike permanent CCTV infrastructure, the monitoring point is not fixed to one location.
Different cameras perform different tasks.
The LPR camera focuses on vehicles entering the monitored area, while the PTZ and fixed cameras provide broader yard coverage and AI-based intrusion detection.
Ease of deployment was particularly important for this customer.
Instead of coordinating trenching, underground cabling, permanent camera poles and multiple installation contractors, the surveillance system arrived as an integrated solution.
Once positioned and commissioned, the customer could operate the complete CCTV system without extensive on-site infrastructure work.
The customer was satisfied with both the surveillance performance and ease of operation.
Despite having limited CCTV experience, the plug-and-play design made the system straightforward to deploy and use.
For this Arizona truck yard, HiSOLO provided the required combination of:
Wide-area monitoring
License plate recognition
AI intrusion detection
Off-grid solar power
Flexible deployment
without the complexity of installing permanent CCTV infrastructure.
Yes. BIGLUX mobile surveillance trailers can integrate dedicated LPR cameras together with PTZ and fixed IP cameras. The appropriate camera and mounting position depend on factors such as viewing distance, vehicle speed and required identification accuracy.
For truck yards and logistics facilities, a mobile surveillance trailer can reduce the need for trenching, permanent poles and extensive cabling. It can also be relocated as the site layout or surveillance requirements change.
